About Yuheng Zhao
Yuheng Zhao is a PhD candidate in computational chemistry at Vrije Universiteit Brussels, where his research utilizes Density Functional Theory (DFT) to investigate chemical interactions in biomineralization and material science. He has contributed to understanding the interactions of poly(ADP-ribose), calcium, and collagen, as well as the adsorption of citrate on hydroxyapatite. Additionally, Zhao works on optimizing dye-sensitized solar cells through the synthesis of photoactive Ru(II) ligands. Actively involved in the scientific community, he shares his findings at conferences and engages in scientific popularization, bridging advanced computational techniques with real-world applications in chemistry and materials science.
